Unfortunately, recent changes to the login to Tri-C resources have affected logins to library resources for those who do not use college computers. See below for more information.


If you try to log in to a Tri-C Library database (like Academic Search Complete, Opposing Viewpoints, or others) while off-campus and receive a message that says “INCORRECT USERNAME AND/OR PASSWORD”:

  1. Click here to go to the User Account Status Checker.
  2. On the User Account Status Checker page (see red arrow in the image above), type your Tri-C email and password, then click Test Account.
  3. If you see a message that says:  
    “The username or password you entered is invalid. If you do not remember your password, use the Reset Your Password tool to reset your account.”

    Click the link to Reset Your Password and follow the steps on the Password Reset Request page.

If this does not work right away, please note that it may take between fifteen and thirty minutes before the new password works in all Tri-C systems. After thirty minutes, please contact the Library.
