You can check out most books for 3 weeks.*

You can renew a checked out item up to 6 times, as long as there are no holds on it.

*EXCEPTIONS: Course Reserves

Books, CDs, and other materials designated by professors to be held in the library for student use for a limited loan period are known as course reserves. This type of loan allows everyone in a class to get a chance to use the material. Loan periods may range from 2 hours to a week or 2. Other loan restrictions, like the requirement that you use the material in the library, may apply.

If you do not return a reserve item on time, you will be fined. These fines may not be waived or forgiven.
